Grades K-2

Each week, our Specialists lead an interactive read aloud. We select high quality, rich children’s literature from our curated library to share, since the books themselves are the most important part of reading! In each session, there will be book talk, foundational skills practiced, and opportunities to apply new learning.

Introduce and reinforce foundational language skills, such as letter recognition, phonics, and basic reading comprehension. Kids engage in interactive sessions that enhance their language development and foster a love for reading and writing.

Build fundamental numerical skills, including counting, basic addition and subtraction, and understanding simple shapes and patterns. Children participate in interactive games supported by visual aids to make math enjoyable and accessible, laying a strong foundation for future mathematical learning.

Explore the natural world and its phenomena through hands-on experiments, observations, and age appropriate discussions. Children learn about various topics such as plants, animals, weather, and the properties of matter, fostering curiosity and a basic understanding of scientific concepts.

We focus on teaching the importance of sharing, taking turns, and conversational language when interacting with others. By role-playing, kids learn how to communicate effectively, show empathy, and develop positive relationships with their peers. Children engage in active listening, clear expression of thoughts and emotions, and understand the importance of body language and facial expressions while communicating with others.

We nurture kids’ imaginations and self-expression through various artistic mediums including drawing, poetry, and movement. Children are encouraged to explore their creativity, develop motor skills, and gain confidence in their ability to create while being exposed to different styles and cultural influences.
